"Killing Time in Iraq"

In the story "Killing Time in Iraq" Buzzell's style I would have to say is raw. He tells the reader exactly what is going on and does it in details. I think a publisher whold want to publish his blogs because he wrote about more than just the killings. He wrote about some funny stuff as well. I think blogging is more effective than journal writing because you can really write what you want to write. When you think of blogging or hear the term, you think of just someone writing whatever pops in their head at the moment. I liked how there was so much different ranges of locations, like how he described the ants crawling on him and how he described guarding the gates.

When you think of journal writing you think of school which you would expect the journal to be in a well written out paragraph form, with fewer errors. What made his writing intriguing to me is how I really felt like I was there with him watching this entire stuff take place by the vivid imagery he used in his blogs. What really grabed my attention is how he was so straight forward with his language. I wasn't expecting him to curse nor expected him to talk about the girls in the magazine.
